Act No. 171/2005 Coll. on
Gambling Games and amendments to certain acts, as amended by Act No. 659/2007
Coll., is amended as follows:
1. §5(1) reads as follows:
“(1) Casino gambling games are
table games in which gamblers play against a casino dealer or against each
other at gambling tables; table games are in particular roulette, card games
and dice games. Every casino must operate at least five gambling tables. Casino
gambling games also include video games, gambling games operated by means of
technical devices operated directly by gamblers or via gambling machines.”.
3. §37(1)(k)
reads as follows:
“(k) for
gambling games operated via technical devices operated directly by gamblers and
for video games 29 % of the financial guarantee, of which 24 % of the financial
guarantee to the state budget and 5 % of the financial guarantee to the budget
of the municipality,”.
4. §58b is inserted after §58a
and reads as follows, including the title:

provisions to amendments effective from
(1) The provision of §5(1) in
the wording effective as of
(2) The provision of §36(4)(e)
in the wording effective as of 1 April 2008 shall for the first time apply prior
to the submission of an application for the licence to operate gambling games
via gambling machines for 2009.
(3) For the purposes of annual
settlement of taxes pursuant to §37(3) for the whole calendar year of 2008 the
provision of §37(1)(k) in the wording effective as of 1 April 2008 shall be
applied for gambling games operated by means of technical devices operated
directly by gamblers and for video games.”.
